Research Mentorship Platformfor All Students
Connect students with experienced mentors, track progress, and foster diversity in research through our comprehensive platform designed to break down barriers in academia.
Our Mission
We're dedicated to creating a more diverse and inclusive research community by connecting underrepresented students with experienced mentors who can guide them through their academic journey.
Increase Accessibility
Breaking down barriers to research opportunities for students from all backgrounds and circumstances through personalized mentorship and resources.
Foster Diversity
Creating pathways for underrepresented groups to contribute their unique perspectives to research and academic communities worldwide.
Develop Skills
Equipping students with the research skills, methodologies, and knowledge they need to succeed in academic and professional settings.
Our Approach
We believe that mentorship is the key to unlocking potential. Our platform connects students with mentors who not only share their knowledge but also understand the unique challenges faced by underrepresented groups in academia.
Through structured programs, personalized guidance, and a supportive community, we help students navigate the complexities of research and build the confidence they need to succeed.
Our Impact
Since our founding, we have aimed to mentor students from underrepresented backgrounds and those with limited opportunities by connecting them with research mentors and helping them pursue their academic passions.
We aim to equip students with meaningful projects and the foundational knowledge needed to pursue research at reputable universities and make a lasting impact in the field of science.
Connect Students with Research Mentors
Our platform makes it easy to match students from underrepresented backgrounds with experienced research mentors who can guide them through their academic journey.
- Personalized mentor matching based on research interests
- Structured 8-week research mentorship program
- Progress tracking and milestone achievements
- Resources and tools for successful research projects
How It Works
- Application & Acceptance: Students apply to our program and, if accepted, officially join the cohort.
- Weeks 1–3: Research Foundations: Students spend the first four weeks learning the basics of research.
- Week 4: Mini Project + Propsal : Students complete a mini project to test and apply their newly acquired skills. Also, students form teams, develop a project proposal, and begin the main research phase.
- Weeks 5–7: Project Execution: Teams work collaboratively to conduct their research, create a slideshow summarizing their work, and write a paper encapsulating their entire project.
- Week 8: Final Presentations: Students present their research at the Practicum Lab’s Research Conference, receive personalized feedback, play games to win prizes, connect with labs, and gain possible mentorship and get advice on how to continue their research journey beyond the program.
